The Airless Pack Association (APA) will showcase the benefits of true airless dispensing systems – and launch its new “Airless Certified by APA” logo – at this year’s Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, March 18-21, according to APA president Lucyna Silberstein.

Cosmoprof attracts an international audience of beauty and cosmetics industry influencers, gathered to learn the latest trends and products available in today’s fast-changing global marketplace. On March 18, at 2:30 pm, the APA will host an eductaional session titles “Protect Your Beauty – Airless: when packaging really makes a difference.” During the event the APA president, the APA technical team leader and the APA marketing team leader will illustrate to all participants the Association’s strategy for the years to come, and new ideas for formula protection through the use of today’s airless dispensing systems and designs.

During the conference, the Association will launch its new “Airless Certified by APA” trademark, a brand of Airless Quality that can be used by all firms that want their packaging to be certified by APA. In order to certify an Airless dispensing systems by APA, the packaging must comply with the Minimum Technical Requirement Chart set by the APA itself. All the technical testing will be done by a third independent party in order to guarantee maximum transparency. After testing, and if the packaging complies with the APA Chart, the applicant firm must commit for a minimum of 3 years to pay an annual fee which will be used to make marketing and communication actions, to promote the Association and its values, to promote Airless Dispensing Systems’ features and to promote the “Airless Certified by APA” trademark.

In addition, 2 special “APA Education Teams” each one made of 2 models/hostesses will be positioned in strategic places around the Show’s pavillions to provide Cosmoprof attendees with general information about the Association and to distribute a KIT containing the latest APA’ s communication material.

“Today’s true airless systems are a win-win proposition, for brand owners and consumers,” says Silberstein. “Protection of complex formulas is critical, whether the brand is in the mass, masstige or prestige sector. The true airless dispensing system offers demonstrable consumer benefits, which is why this packaging solution is fast becoming more popular in the beauty, cosmetics and pharma markets.

“No wonder we at the APA believe that consumers – as well as brand owners — should know about, ask for, and know how to recognize, through our new logo, products packaged in a way that protects over the life of the product,” Silberstein says.
